250 GAMES — MITCHELL "MITCH" JOLLY

This weekend we celebrate an incredible milestone as Mitchell "Mitch" Jolly runs out for his 250th game in the blue and gold!

A milestone like this doesn't come around often, and it's a fitting reward for one of the toughest and most selfless footballers to wear the Eagles jumper.

Mitch is the sort of footballer every club dreams of having.

Tough as nails, reliable as they come and prepared to play wherever the team needs him, he is the ultimate team man.

Over the years, he's been a key part of one of the most successful eras in UYFC history, sharing in seven A Grade premierships in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

He's also proudly represented at Mortlock Shield, pulling on the jumper for Great Flinders in 2019 and 2023, and also representing Lincoln City in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2021.

While those honours are impressive, they only tell part of the story.

Mitch is the player who wins the contest no one else notices. The desperate smother. The chase-down tackle. The second effort. The tap-on that keeps the ball moving. The one-percenter that changes the momentum of a game.

Very rarely beaten one-on-one, he gives maximum effort every single contest and inspires those around him to lift with him.

Mitch has never been one for big speeches.

He's quiet with his words, but enormous with his actions.

For 250 games, he's let his football do the talking, leading by example with honesty, toughness and a commitment to his teammates that never wavers. He's the sort of player every club hopes to have and every teammate is grateful to run out alongside.

Congratulations Mitch on an outstanding 250-game milestone. Thank you for everything you've given to UYFC over the years. We can't wait to see what the next chapter brings.
